zkSummit11 wrap up

& announcing zkSummit12

On April 10th 2024, in Athens, Greece,  we hosted zkSummit11 - zk11! Thank you to all of those who joined us. As usual, we gathered the members of the ZK community to showcase new research, connect old friends and host great conversations. 

For our 11th edition, we had 4 stages running concurrently throughout the day, with a mix of full length talks, lightning talks and workshops, as well as the ZK Panel at the end of the day hosted by Anna Rose, Nico Mohnblatt, Alex Evans and Georgios Konstantopoulos. As the event was hosted in a building adjoining a working planetarium, we even wrapped up the event with a show for our participants! If you didn’t get a chance to join us at the time, we have the videos of all talks over on our YouTube channel.

For the duration of the event we also had the team from Cursive showcasing their zk11 ZKP experiment. For this, we handed out branded NFC cards to all the attendees when they arrived. These cards allowed participants to connect with one another, meet the speakers and record that they had attended talks and then prove (using ZKPs) that they had participated in these real world activities. We even had a leaderboard to see who connected to the most participants (Anna was pretty competitive here!) If you joined us and tried this out, we’d love to hear your thoughts. This edition was very special, as we had an excellent batch of side events happening around the conference, hosted independently by teams from the community. There was a great atmosphere across the week and the time in Athens felt like a dream almost. The views of the acropolis in the background of these amazing events.

Looking forward, we are very excited to announce the upcoming zkSummit12. We will be returning to Lisbon, Portugal, on Oct 8th 2024 for this event! As always, the event will be invite only so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on www.zksummit.com for speaker applications to open later in the summer (tbd but likely July/Aug).
